Clarence has been a Certified Credit Counselor with us for 19 years. Clarence has a wide background including working in the Iowa Department of Justice as the Fiscal Officer and as an Investigator. Clarence also operated a small business for several years. Clarence and his wife have four children, three boys and a daughter, that keep them busy with several school related events including music concerts and sports throughout the year. Clarence’s greatest sense of satisfaction is in helping people through complicated and difficult financial problems.
Rich has been a Certified Credit Counselor with us for 11 years. In Rich’s previous job roles he has served as an Underwriting Manager and in Risk Assessment. Rich and his wife enjoy spending time with their four daughters and two son-in-laws. In Rich’s spare time he can be found doing outdoor activities of bike riding and golf. Rich’s passion for counseling is in assisting Clients one-on-one to establish strong personal budget disciplines.
Linda Jacob is a Certified Financial Planner ® and an Accredited Financial Counselor ®. Linda began working in the banking industry in high school. She put herself through college, and eventually become an Officer of a multi-million dollar bank. It wasn’t until she moved to the Trust department that Linda realized her love of helping people with their money. After three years of growing assets for her clients, her true purpose in life became clear. She was put on earth to help everyone become successful money managers, helping them get out of debt and reach their financial goals. Linda is a member of Financial Planning Association and the Association for Financial Counseling, Planning and Education. When Linda isn’t working, she enjoys cooking, golfing, and reading.
Jeff has been a Certified Credit Counselor with us since August of 2018. In Jeff’s previous roles he has served as a Vice President of Operations, Manager of Fraud Investigations and as an Underwriting Manager, all in the field of Residential Mortgage Lending, retiring from this career in the spring of 2018. Jeff and his wife enjoy spending time with their son and daughter, their respective spouses and three grandchildren. In his personal time, Jeff enjoys playing golf, hiking and reading. Jeff appreciates the opportunity to provide personalized service to individuals seeking to improve their financial situation, through budgeting, consultation and debt management solutions.
Clare Long is an Accredited Financial Counselor ® who began working with Consumer Credit in December of 2017. Clare began working as a Career Counselor for the Soldier for Life Transition Assistance Program in 2013 and progressed to a financial counselor role the following year. After realizing the joy of helping service members and their families reach attainable financial goals, Clare has continued her passion of financial education through credit counseling at Consumer Credit. Some of Clare’s favorite past times are running, swing dancing and learning to garden.
Rod Carrott is a Certified Credit Counselor who has been with us since October 2019. Prior to Consumer Credit, Rod worked in the Real Estate Mortgage Lending industry. He managed departments in underwriting, processing, legal, quality control, and forensic loan review. Rod retired from the Real Estate Mortgage industry in 2019. He was seeking a part-time role to assist individuals with their finances more directly and Consumer Credit was a great fit for his new role. Rod and his wife have three married children. He enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife and their grandchildren! Rod also enjoys cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the St Louis Cardinals and continues to follow all sports in his leisure time.
Alli has been a Certified Credit Counselor with us since 2020. Alli graduated from ISU in 2006 in Finance. She worked part time for US Bank for 10+ years and stayed home with her kids for 13 years. Alli grew up in Boone, Iowa, and now calls Norwalk home with her husband and 3 children. Alli shares her home with 2 dogs, Daisy the mini Labradoodle and Lucy the mini Bernedoodle. In her free time, she enjoys going to ISU Football games with family/friends, outdoor walks, and traveling. Alli was looking for a position where she could help people with their finances, debts, and budgeting, and she has a passion for helping others.
